Lifeboat crew with Ballyglass RNLI had an unusual callout last night (Monday 14 May) when they were launched to recover a runaway barge that had broken away from its moorings in Labrador, Newfoundland in Canada last November.

On Sunday afternoon at 1:51pm (13 May) Carrybridge RNLI’s inshore lifeboat, Douglas Euan & Kay Richards, and Rescue Water Craft (RWC) launched following a request by Belfast Coastguard to assist a 35ft cruiser which was aground approximately one mile west of Knockninny.
