Clifden RNLI was busy at the weekend with two call outs in quick succession in the early hours of Sunday morning (26 July) .


The volunteer lifeboat crew was first alerted at midnight to a 29ft yacht reported adrift in Cleggan Bay.

Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat launched to assist a person on board a 30ft cruiser

At 11.55am on July 8, Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat launched to assist a lone boatman, whose 30ft cruiser had suffered engine failure and drifted into reeds by Terryglass Harbour, at the northern end of Lough Derg. Winds were northerly backing westerly, Force 4, visibility was good.
