Portaferry RNLI lifeboat rescues two stranded on island

Portaferry RNLI lifeboat volunteers were requested to launch by the Coastguard shortly after 8pm yesterday (Tuesday 14 February) as two men were stranded on Trasnagh Island, near White Rock Bay in Strangford Lough, Co. Down.


The men had got into difficulties and became trapped on the island when their own small boat filled with water.
