At 9.00am on Friday 19th August, the crew of Rhyl's volunteer inshore lifeboat crew were requested to launch by Holyhead Coastguard, to a person in difficulty in the water, initially off the Sun Centre, then off the Sky Tower. On Sunday 14 August between 11am and 4pm, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution will be hosting a free lifejacket clinic at Bangor Marina.
Anyone owning a lifejacket is invited to bring it along to the clinic and have it checked free of charge for safety.
During past lifejacket clinics, safety checks have revealed some astonishing potential life threatening maintenance issues.
