Larne RNLI launched their inshore lifeboat on Bank Holiday Monday (07 May) to reports of an 18ft motor vessel with two people on-board lost in foggy conditions near the Maidens Lighthouse.

Lifeboats from Castletownbere RNLI, Derrynane Inshore Rescue Boat and Ballinskelligs lnshore Rescue were tasked by Valentia Coastguard today at 12.26pm (Monday 7 May) to go to the assistance of a Castletownbere fishing boat which caught fire and started taking water.

At 7.28am today (Sunday 6 May) Carrybridge RNLI inshore lifeboat, Douglas Euan & Kay Richards, launched following a request by Belfast coastguard to assist a 37foot cruiser which was taking on water on the lough near Belturbet, Co Cavan.
