Larne RNLI assists two aboard 28ft yacht

Larne RNLI in County Antrim came to the assistance of two people aboard a 28ft yacht on Tuesday morning (24 July).
At 10.01am, the station received a call from Coastguard to assist the yacht which was located a mile north east of Ballygally Head.
Conditions at the time were described as flat calm.
On arrival at the scene, volunteer crew noted the casualty was encountering fuel problems.
After putting a crew member on board the vessel to assist, the engine was restarted.
The passengers, a man and a woman, continued their journey to Carrickfergus and the all weather lifeboat, Dr John McSparran returned to station where it was made ready again for service.
