The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The Irish Coast Guard (IRCG) is part of the Department of Transport. The Irish Search and Rescue Region, which includes most of the Republic of Ireland and parts of Northern Ireland is the area over which the coast guard has authority. This area is bounded by the UK Search and Rescue Region.

This site is dedicated to the remarkable 44' Motor Lifeboats designed by the U.S. Coast Guard. The RNLI acquired the USCG 44328 in 1964 and built a further 21, naming the class "Waveney" after the river in which the first boats were built.

The Lifeboat Enthusiasts' Society brings together those with a keen interest in lifeboats and the lifeboat service, existing to support the RNLI and provide an interchange of information between the RNLI and members on the many different aspects of lifeboats, past, present and future.

Blyth All Weather LifeBoat is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year based in the Port of Blyth, Northumberland. This is a independant life boat, we receive no funds from the Government or the RNLI.
