Galway
A inshore lifeboat station was established at Galway in 1996 operating from temporary facilities in the harbour area of Galway city.
In 1997 a new station house was built on the dockside to provide crew facilities and house the stations Atlantic 75 ILB which was launched by using a davit.
The station house was renovated during the summer of 2011 as the station was soon to receive a new larger Atlantic 85 class ILB.
