Clifden
An inshore lifeboat station was established at Clifden on a trial basis in March 1988. The inshore lifeboat could be launched from a number of different sites to which it was towed to by Land Rover.
A new boathouse was built on the quayside in 1992. In 1998 a larger boathouse was built on the Beach Road to accommodate the stations new Atlantic 75 ILB. The 1992 built boathouse was retained for use by the stations D class ILB.
