Shannon Class Lifeboat Visits Arklow
Shannon class lifeboat 13-01 RNLB Jock and Annie Slater was the star attraction at the 2013 Arklow Maritime Festival. The Shannon Class was the first class of RNLI lifeboat to be named after an Irish River. Arklow Lifeboat Operations Manager and RNLI Honorary Life Governor Jimmy Tyrell has campaigned for many years for an RNLI lifeboat class to be named after an Irish river was delighted to welcome the new Shannon class to Arklow
