While on passage 17-34 became involved in the search for a man had fallen overboard from a fishing vessel 9 miles east of Clogherhead, County Louth. After taking part in the search for two day 17-34 arrived at Dun Laoghaire for a crew change. Osier continued its journey to Rosslare Harbour a few days later.
