Dun Laoghaire RNLI dirvirt from training to bring 10 people to safety
On Sunday May 8th 2016, Dun Laoghaire RNLI brought four adults and six children to safety after their speedboat and jetski broke down off Dalkey. All were wearing lifejackets and were not in immediate danger but were disabled from snagged lines. The ILB was on a routine weekly exercise off Dun Laoghaire and was notified by the Irish Coast Guard's MRCC Dublin. The crew of three volunteers reached the scene off Bulloch Harbour within a few minutes. A tow was established between the ILB and speedboat and from there to the jetski. After 25 minutes, both craft and their occupants were landed at the slipway in Dun Laoghaire. Photo: RNLI/Dun Laoghaire
