The volunteer crew at Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked at 3:42pm yesterday (Friday 1 August) by Malin Head Coast Guard to assist a small vessel with 6 people onboard that have developed mechanical problems not far from Fahan Marina.

The station's inshore lifeboat (ILB) was launched, and the crew arrived on the scene in good time.
The volunteer lifeboat crew established a tow and took the vessel to Fahan Marina before returning to Ned's Point to refuel and prepare for their next service.
Remember: If you're in difficulty on or near the water—or if you see someone in trouble—dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
