A major serach and rescue operation was launched this morning (Sunday 7 September) following reports that man had fallen off the Tarbert to Killimer ferry in the River Shannon

Bantry Inshore Search and Rescue Association CRBI unit was called out by Valentia Coast Guard to assist a swimmer in distress on a rock at Shanvallybeg Beach (known locally as “Bolt’s Beach”).
