Red Bay Lifeboat crew was called into action to assist a fisherman in distress off the North Antrim Coast. The lifeboat launched at precisely 10:06 am to respond to the emergency situation involving a small boat with one person on board.

Three crew with Galway RNLI have been presented with Long Service Awards in recognition of their dedication and commitment as long-serving volunteers with Galway Lifeboat Station.

Ahead of Storm Amy, which is set to bring wet and windy weather tomorrow (Friday 3 October) and Saturday, the RNLI is urging those near the coast or inland waterways to be aware of the dangers the stormy weather could bring.
