Lough Swilly RNLI’s volunteer crew had a busy evening on Wednesday, 12 August, responding to two separate incidents after being requested to launch by Malin Head Coast Guard.

Crosshaven RNLI was tasked by the Coast Guard during a training exercise to a person in the water between Haulbowline and Spike Island.

Achill Island RNLI volunteers have brought 25 people to safety following a 16-hour call out after a 24-metre sailing vessel made contact with a fish farm one mile east of Clare Island, off the Mayo coast.
