Dunmore East RNLI volunteers came to the aid of two people aboard a disabled motor cruiser after the vessel suffered engine difficulties off Hook Head.

Volunteer crew members from the RNLI in Dunmore East launched on Tuesday evening to assist a sailing vessel that lost both engine and electrical power off the coast of Hook Head.

The 6th annual Dunmore East RNLI open water swim event is back this year taking place on Sunday the 24th of May 2026.

Dunmore East RNLI were requested to launch following report of a missing diver off Brownstown Head.
