Fethard RNLI is inviting members of the public to learn more about volunteering with the lifesaving charity at a recruitment evening on Friday, 5 June 2026.

The volunteer crew at Fethard RNLI, were tasked to a call for assistance from a vessel off the south coast after its propeller became fouled in a rope.

Fethard RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew launched on Friday morning, 15 May, to assist a lone sailor whose vessel had lost power and was drifting in the shipping channel north of Barrow Bridge in the Waterford Estuary.

Fethard RNLI assisted two kayakers in difficulty off Baginbun Beach in force five winds on Thursday evening (3 July). Onlookers on Baginbun beach had noticed the kayakers in distress and raised the alarm with the Coast Guard.
