The volunteer crew of Clifden RNLI were requested by the Coast Guard to launch after a crew member had spotted the upturned hull of a boat in Clifden Bay.

Clifden's volunteer crew launched their Atlantic 85 lifeboat on Tuesday night (9 September) after a member of the public reported seeing a reflective object drifting in the darkness in Clifden Bay.

Volunteers at Clifden RNLI lifeboat station were tasked shortly after 3pm (Monday 28 July) to assist a fisherman in difficulty off the Connemara shore.

It was a busy Friday for the volunteer crew of Clifden RNLI with two taskings in quick succession.
