Volunteer crew members from the RNLI at Red Bay launched a rescue operation to assist a lone sailor whose yacht got into difficulty in rough conditions off the Scottish coast.

Red Bay RNLI volunteer crew members carried out a medical evacuation from Rathlin Island.

Red Bay Lifeboat crew was called into action to assist a fisherman in distress off the North Antrim Coast. The lifeboat launched at precisely 10:06 am to respond to the emergency situation involving a small boat with one person on board.

Red Bay RNLI were requested to go to the assistance of a 13m yacht which had suffered engine failure 4 miles East of Rathlin Island.
