The lifeboat crew promptly responded to the call and coordinated with the local doctor to ensure a smooth transition for the patient. This crucial step ensured that the patient’s medical needs were fully understood before being transferred onboard the lifeboat. With the patient safely secured, the lifeboat departed from Inis Mór, navigating the waters to Ros a Mhíl.

Upon reaching Ros a Mhíl, the lifeboat crew efficiently transferred the patient into the care of an awaiting ambulance crew, ensuring that the patient continued to receive the necessary medical attention.

If you see somebody in trouble on the water or along the coast or think that they are in trouble, use Marine VHF Ch 16 or dial 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
