The first two calls were in the early hours of Friday morning, 20 June at 12.30 am and again at 2.10 am. The third call was on Monday evening at 9.08. Patients were transferred from the Arranmore first responders ambulance to the lifeboat and then on to Burtonport to a waiting ambulance for assessment in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Coxswain of Arranmore RNLI Kieran O’ Donnell said ‘ As an emergency service on call every day of the year we are always prepared to launch whatever the call’ Kieran continued’ Summer is usually a busy time for the emergency services and we would ask that people are aware of the safety messages from Water Safety Ireland, The Coast Guards and the RNLI when on or near the water. Be seen, be safe and enjoy the summer’
