The volunteer crew quickly launched the Atlantic 85 Inshore Lifeboat and proceeded to the last reported location of the paddleboarders.

Shortly after the lifeboat had launched it was stood down as both teenagers made it safely to shore.

The volunteer crew returned to Ned's Point, refuelled and made ready for service.

Lough Swilly RNLI would like to thank the member of the public who raised the alarm with the Coast Guard.

Remember if you're in difficulty in or on the water or see someone in trouble, dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
