At 3:49pm on Saturday 21 March, the volunteer crew at Rosslare Harbour RNLI were tasked by the Irish Coast Guard to go to the assistance of a lone sailor onboard a yacht in difficulty off Kilmuckridge.

Upon receiving the task, the lifeboat crew promptly set out to the specified location. Weather conditions were very calm with good visibility.
On arrival, the crew discovered that the yacht was facing engine problems. The sailor was in need of immediate assistance to rectify the issue and ensure a safe continuation of their journey.
The lifeboat crew managed to effect a repair on-site, allowing the lone sailor to continue to their intended destination without further delays.
The all-weather lifeboat then returned to station to be prepared for any future emergencies.
