The first tasking occurred on Sunday, 1 March, when the Irish Coast Guard received a call at 4:31pm necessitating a medical evacuation from Inis Mór. The Aran Islands lifeboat crew promptly responded to the call. Upon arrival, they received a handover from the local doctor, ensuring they had all necessary information about the patient's condition.

Once the patient was secured onboard, the lifeboat departed for Ros a Mhíl. The crew successfully transferred the patient into the care of an awaiting ambulance crew, ensuring the individual received the needed medical attention promptly.

The second call for assistance came on Tuesday, 3 March, at 1:52pm. The Irish Coast Guard tasked the Aran Islands lifeboat for a medical evacuation from Inis Mór. The lifeboat crew, coordinated with the local doctor and, with the assistance of the Aran Fire and Rescue Service, safely transferred the patient onboard the lifeboat.

Following the same procedure as before, the lifeboat made its way to Ros a Mhíl, where the patient was handed over to the ambulance crew waiting to provide further medical care.

These effective evacuations underscore the importance of the RNLI lifeboat services and the seamless cooperation between the various emergency services.
