Crosshaven RNLI volunteers quickly launched their Atlantic 85 B class lifeboat and proceeded to the scene along with Rescue helicopter 117 from Waterford, Crosshaven Coast Guard and Guileen Coast Guard on the shore.

For almost two hours, the teams conducted thorough shore and parallel search patterns between Roches Point and Power Head. Despite the comprehensive efforts, which included both aerial and marine searches, no evidence of distress or individuals requiring assistance was found.

The search operation was officially stood down, allowing all assets to return to their respective stations.

The lifeboat was recovered, washed down, and refueled, ensuring it was ready for any future emergencies. The operation was declared complete and the lifeboat was back in service by 10:55pm

Remember if you see someone in difficulty please call 112/999 and ask for Coast Guard.
