At approximately 3:15pm, a crew deployed by road with the unit’s D-class rescue boat, launching from the slipway in Shannonbridge. Upon locating the casualty vessel, the rescue team came alongside and carried out an on-scene assessment. It was determined that the cruiser was firmly aground.

Given the situation, the decision was made to remove the skipper from the vessel. The skipper was safely transported back to Shannonbridge slipway, where he subsequently made arrangements for the recovery of his boat.

The operation concluded later that evening, with the crew returning to base at 8:15pm. All equipment was checked and readied, ensuring the unit remained prepared for any further callouts.

In case of emergency call 112/999 or use VHF Channel 16 and ask for the Coast Guard.
