Rescue crews responded immediately and quickly located the disabled vessel, which was carrying four people on board. Following an assessment of the situation, a towline was established and the casualty vessel was safely taken under tow.

The vessel was subsequently escorted to the jetty at Antrim Marina, where both the boat and its occupants were brought safely ashore without incident.

Following the successful conclusion of the operation, Lough Neagh Rescue's lifeboats returned to station. Crews then carried out routine post-mission procedures, including refuelling, washing down the vessels, and preparing equipment for any further service requirements.

Lough Neagh Rescue reminds all boat users to ensure vessels are properly maintained and equipped before heading onto the water, helping to reduce the risk of mechanical failures and other emergencies.
