Three Wicklow RNLI volunteer crew members have received official Letters of Thanks from RNLI Chief Executive Peter Sparkes following their actions which resulted in five lives being saved.

Wicklow RNLI brought three fishermen to safety after their vessel suffered mechanical failure while fishing off the Wicklow coast.

Wicklow RNLI launched twice in the space of five hours yesterday (Monday 16 June) . The first call out was to assist the crew of a pleasure craft with engine failure while the second was to go to the aid of a person trapped at the bottom of a cliff.
