On the 22nd of August 2025, crew members Tom O’Connor and Conor Burke will suit up in their offshore rescue gear and spend 24 hours immersed in the waters of Cahore to raise funds for a new lifeboat which will allow Cahore Inshore Rescue Service to remain functioning.

The volunteer crew of Cahore Inshore Rescue Service CRBI were tasked by pager at 6:25pm on Friday 18 July to rescue two casualties adrift on jet ski approx 500 meters north of Cahore pier.
