On Monday evening there was a flurry of activity on Belfast Lough when volunteer crews from Bangor, Donaghadee and Portaferrry RNLI came together with members of Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club, Ballyholme Yacht Club and Lagan Search and Rescue for a planned training exercise.

Fenit RNLI will open its doors for its station open day on Sunday 7 September from 1-5pm. All are welcome to attend for a fun-filled day out for all the family.

On Sunday last (20 July) Wicklow RNLI volunteers opened its station doors and lifeboats to the public. Considering the heavy rain early in the morning, it turned into a successful day which was enjoyed by all.

Arklow RNLI hosted a special ceremony on Saturday (21 June) for the naming of the new €3.1M All-Weather Shannon Class Lifeboat.

Bangor RNLI welcomed a visit from Rev. Elliot Swattridge and some of the children. Following a tour of the station the children then presented the Bangor crew with a cheque for £300.
