The volunteer lifeboat crew at Lough Swilly RNLI lifeboat station respond to two callouts in a 14 hour period.

Castletownbere RNLI launched their all-weather lifeboat to go to the immediate assistance of three fishermen on a trawler which got into difficulty off the West Cork Coast.

On the 22nd of August 2025, crew members Tom O’Connor and Conor Burke will suit up in their offshore rescue gear and spend 24 hours immersed in the waters of Cahore to raise funds for a new lifeboat which will allow Cahore Inshore Rescue Service to remain functioning.
