Killaloe Coast Guard Unit members had a busy evening yesterday (Monday 11 August) with a training exercise and then a callout to a swimmer showing signs of hypothermia.

Wicklow RNLI volunteers launched the all-weather lifeboat after being paged by the Coast Guard who had received reports of a child on an inflatable 250 meters off shore in the Newcastle area.

The volunteer crew at Ballyglass lifeboat station were requested to launch their inshore lifeboat (ILB) by Malin Head Coast Guard yesterday (Monday 04/08/25) at 9:18pm to assist 2 swimmers in Elly Bay.

Wicklow RNLI launched twice in the space of five hours yesterday (Monday 16 June) . The first call out was to assist the crew of a pleasure craft with engine failure while the second was to go to the aid of a person trapped at the bottom of a cliff.
